Another Photomatix Pro test. This is the second sunset of 2007, or to be more accurate, this is late twilight, almost an hour after sunset. It was so dark that I couldn't see Mumbles Head itself, except when the lighthouse flashed. The orange glow is purely from the streetlights. It was a bit too late to get a good exposure on the foreground sand. Even at 30 seconds it was much too dark, so it produced nasty grain and posterisation, although it doesn't look too bad at this size. I could have attached the cable release and done a really long exposure, but I couldn't be bothered since the scene looked so dull. Yet Photomatix has again brought out really nice colours in the image. Next time, if there's a better sky, I'll take some much longer exposures.
