| Third
day with my Canon Powershot G3. This time I started using the manual
focus and began locking the exposure with the * button rather than
by half-depressing the key. The "semi-auto" focusing usually
refused to lock onto infinity, even when aiming it at distant scenery
or the sky, so I had to repeatedly scroll the main wheel to set it
on infinity. It was a very cold day with sub-zero temperatures, but
the camera did not seem to be adversely affected by this. There were
no problems with the battery for example. I had more consistent results
this time, as a result of exercising more manual control. |
