A final panorama at the end of the day, two shots stitched together. This was taken in the dark, 70 minutes after sunset. In fact, there was no sunset and this photo faces south, so the orange-pink clouds can only be explained by the streetlights of Merthyr Tydfil in the distance. I only bothered to stop and take this because of the snow on the cliffs, I couldn't see the colour in the sky and clouds at the time.
Even with a 30 second exposure at f3.5, I was forced to use ISO 1600 to record a decent image. Even then, I had to brighten up the cliffs later to bring out the detail, while darkening the sky to make it look more natural. No saturation has been added to this shot. The brightest star in the picture is Sirius, while the two bright stars near the top of the picture just to the right of centre are Saiph and Rigel, the two lowest stars in Orion.
