Oxwich Bay

Great Tor to Oxwich Point

Everything changes here, as we reach the sheltered expanse of Oxwich Bay, 3 miles of golden sands with safe bathing due to the flat shallow beach. It stretches from Oxwich to Three Cliffs Bay. There's a large expanse of sand dunes and marshland, most of which is a nature reserve, although Oxwich beach is very popular with tourists. There are many caravan sites in the area. Oxwich Head is the largest headland in Gower, skirted with natural woodland on its sheltered edge.
