Glyders
The Glyders is an area of spectacular rugged
peaks. It's quite a condensed range of high
summits that has roughly an L shape, sitting neatly
between Snowdon and the Carneddau and giving excellent
views of each.
The geology of the area is fascinating, giving rise to
strange landforms such as the weird rocky plateau of Glyder
Fach and the nearby Castell y Gwynt. Nearby Tryfan is an
extremely popular summit, said to be the only mountain in Wales
that can't be ascended without the use of hands
